Michaela Kane is a Certified Nurse Midwife from Bloomington, Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University and her Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Michaela has spent the last 7 years working as a labor nurse at Carle BroMenn, where her love for obstetrics flourished. She is nationally certified in Inpatient-Obstetrics as an RN, is a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and has a background in ‘Spinning Babies’. Her love for physiologic birth and her support for the female body and its capability for birth makes her a tremendous labor coach, one who models the true midwifery approach to labor and delivery.
She is excited to expand her love for birth into the prenatal and postpartum settings, where she can care for families and grow trusting relationships with women across their lifespans.
When she’s not working, Michaela enjoys spending time with family, her boyfriend and her disabled cat, Wobbles. She’s an avid book reader, loves fitness and exercise, and enjoys traveling. OH! & a good cup of coffee!
