Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
I am sure you would agree that these are unprecedented and also concerning times. There are and will be a lot of continuously changing dynamics that surround us because of the Covid- 19 pandemic. We want to reassure all of you, our patients that your safety and wellbeing are our utmost concern. We would like to continue to keep you well but also look out for your best interest as we take this journey together. To this end, we have implemented some changes that are in keeping with what is been advised by both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and also the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
We will like to continue to see patients in our office but with changes. These changes are aimed at protecting you – our patients and our staff.
- We will call you a day or two before your scheduled appointment. During this call, our staff will ask a few questions to make sure that you do not have any symptoms including fever, dry cough, chest pain or shortness of breath.
- In order to increase and enforce social distancing, we have decided to limit contact with other patients in our waiting area. When you arrive in your vehicle to the parking lot of Advanced Women's Healthcare, we request you wait in your car and call the office to let us know you are here. We will then contact you when we are ready for you. You will be going straight to an exam room. Once your visit is complete with your provider, we will make your follow-up appointment in the exam room and you will go straight to your vehicle without having to stop in the waiting room
- During this time, we are not allowing patients to bring anyone with them into the office for their visit. At this time of heightened awareness, we will implore you not to bring your children. If you must bring children with you, please have someone with them in the car when you come in for your visit as they will not be allowed to wait in the waiting room or come into the room with you.
- In order to reduce the risk of transmission and also to protect you and our staff, it might be appropriate for some of our patients to be assessed at home by telemedicine. We are currently evaluating this as an option for some patients that are vulnerable either to the risk of Covid-19 or choose that as an option rather than coming to our office. Please ask if this is your desired means of evaluation.
We appreciate that you may have some anxiety and likely some questions and concerns. At Advanced Women’s Healthcare, it is our hope that the pandemic is over as soon as possible. However, before then, we will continue to look out for your welfare and be available for your questions and concerns.
We pray that you and your family stay healthy in these times.
